Magic Graphics was founded in 2002.
Originally I started out in the Prepress Repro department at Nampak in The Netherlands, that was in 1985. I got involved in Design Packaging and CadCam designing packaging.
Ater a variety of companies I ended up as a Designer/DTP/CTP Operator for Tetra Pak Holland. First in the Repro department and before I left to South Africa I was responsible for the Digital Artwork at the Design/CTP department.
In South Africa since 2005, I have been working for Associated Printing in Cape Town.
As a Group Head Preflight I was responsible for the artwork to be ready to print.
In June 2007 I was the Studio Head of an advertising comapany called Ontrack Advertising in Somerset West.
Now since August 2008 I am freelancing.
As a Graphic Designer/DTP/Finished Artist I am fully proficient in the following software packages:
• Adobe Photoshop.
• Adobe Illustrator.
• Adobe InDesign.
• Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Macromedia Freehand.
And as an Artwork FrontEnd-user:
• CTP (computer-to-plate) software Barco/Esko.
• Pitstop pdf application.
• Colour Management
from RGB to CMYKto Pantone to Vinyl.
